In the process, two ways to produce so-called linear Fresnel lenses were developed: their production by a pressing process as glass lenses and their casting on a silicone basis. By linear Fresnel lenses, facilities can be built that can be uniaxially tracked and that serve various purposes, like e.g. steam generation, photovoltaics, synthetic gas generation, cold production.
